About Time: You Went to London’s First Cookie Dough CafeBy Angelica Malin
Calling all sweet treat lovers! Naked Dough, London’s first edible cookie dough café, will be launching on 6th June 2017, as a pop up in Old Street underground Station. Here’s everything you need to know:
London’s First Cookie Dough Cafe: The Lowdown
This female-founded cookie dough noshery will be themed entirely around delicious, gourmet and safe-to-eat raw cookie dough; straight from a tub, munched on a cone or taken home to dig into later. Welcome back childhood spoon-licking. Hannah and Jen, the doughy masterminds behind Naked Dough, are no strangers to all things foodie. With Hannah working for an online lifestyle magazine specializing in food, and Jen as a trained pastry chef, these two know how to quell your cookie cravings.
London’s First Cookie Dough Cafe: The Treats
They will be offering a variety of flavours, including “Unicorn Food” (with marshmallows and sprinkles), “Nutting Better” (peanut butter and crunched peanuts) and the “Ed Sheeran” (salted caramel and honeycomb). Not only can it be eaten in its Naked state, but the dough can also be blitzed to make milkshakes: the best of two sweet worlds.
London’s First Cookie Dough Cafe: Why Visit
Following the success of a cookie dough café launch in New York, Naked Dough is helping answer Londoners’ dreams by introducing one this side of the pond. As one British Newspaper implored, “Please, someone bring this to the UK, we need it”. Consider it done, Brits. At Naked Dough, we want to try something unique and different in the UK. Get involved.
