5 Things You Need to Eat in London This WeekBy Alicia Grimshaw
From eating your porridge suspended in the sky to a new bottomless brunch. We’ve found 5 things you need to eat in London this week.
1. For Something Different: London in the Sky
What: Fancy a dinner with some of the best views of the city? London in the Sky returns this September with a brand new location and chef line-up. Suspended 25 metres from the ground the restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner above the South Bank.
Why: The event is running from the 17th to the 30th September, and kicking off this week is award-winning Peruvian chef Martin Morales of Ceviche and Andina. The table seats 22 guests, with food prepared and served in front of you by some of London’s finest chefs including Dan Doherty of Duck and Waffle, Robert Ortiz of Lima, and Mark Sargeant of Morden & Lea to name but a few. This is taking dining to the next level, quite literally.

What: The newly renovated Cuban restaurant has recently launched their new Chino-Latino bottomless brunch and we couldn’t be happier. Devised by Cuban-born Executive Chef Luis Pous, tuck into a three-course brunch menu, accompanied by a bottomless brunch cocktail or champagne, plus an unlimited number of the restaurant’s signature Mexican doughnuts.
Why: There ain’t no party like a brunch party and at Asia de Cuba, the party ain’t stopping. Choose between the champagne or cocktail option and then pick a signature main course from the A La Carte menu. Think Breakfast Tortilla with chorizo, eggs and spicy black beans, a Cuban Benedict with BBQ pulled pork and chipotlaise sauce, or Cuban toast, a crispy sweet brioche rolled in coconut and almonds with guava puree and mascarpone cheese. Top it all off with as many Mexican doughnuts as you can eat. That’s how to do brunch.

Two childhood friends, Ed and Rich, set up the chocolate company back in 2014 and create organic chocolate bars using superfoods with no nasties or additives. They’ve recently launched 5 new flavours and take our word for it, they’re damn good.
Why: If you find yourself reaching for the same bar of Cadburys, give Doisy and Dam a whirl. The new flavours include their white chocolate bar with Lemon, Poppy Seed and Baobab as well as Doisy & Dam’s healthy take on salted caramel with their Date and Himalayan Pink Salt. If you’re after chocolate with a difference, try the popped Quinoa with Smoked Tea and Vanilla. All at 39% organic Dominican cocoa, theirs is a much higher cocoa percentage than your average milk chocolate delivering an uncommonly rich and moreish flavour. Oooft.
