Top 10: Ways to Celebrate Rosh Hashanah in London 2017By Angelica Malin
Rosh Hashanah in London has come around once again. Truly, it’s one of my favourite times of the year. If you don’t know, Rosh Hashanah is Jewish New Year and marks the official start of the Hebrew calendar – this year it falls on Wednesday 20th September. Rosh Hashanah is a time of sugary indulgence; traditionally one eats apples and honey – to ensure a ‘sweet’ new year. Here’s my top picks for 10 ways to celebrate the New Year in the capital:

We say: celebrate Rosh Hashanah in London by getting your friends and family together for a delicious meal.

This will be followed by a tureen of chicken soup with kneidlach and lokshen. Then, taking centre stage, a roasted whole chicken to be carved by the chosen guest, with golden roast potatoes, spring greens, gravy and Monty’s house chrain.
