If you’re in need of some weekend brunch inspiration – you’ve come to the right place. Take a trip to east London for TT Liquor’s special brunch event, or jump on the tube to Victoria for Aster’s new Nordic inspired brunch dishes. Time to eat:
1. For a Middle Eastern Brunch: Morito Exmouth Market
What: Fancy a brunch with a Middle Eastern Twist? Morito Exmouth Market have just launched a new breakfast menu brimming with insanely delicious dishes that are a far cry from your standard avo on toast. Ditch the eggs Benny, and drive into a selection of homemade dips and jams, and plenty of other delights.
Eat and Drink: For the sweet fans, go wild for cardamom granola with Moro yoghurt and seasonal fruit salad; porras con chocolate (porras are supersized churros); or toasted Moro sourdough served with homemade jams and honey. If you want to push the boat out, try the full Catalan – xistorra, black butifarra, Calabrian fennel sausage, fried egg, roast tomatoes and mushrooms. Don’t miss the tostados filled with either grilled cheese, pastirma and dill; pan con tomate; or roasted tomatoes and cumin.
2. For Bottomless Puddings: Galvin at The Athenaeum
What: Forget bottomless bubbles (although that’s included in the deal). Make way for a new bottomless addition: puddings. Galvin at The Athenaeum have elevated their lunch offering to new tasty heights with the addition of endless desserts on both Saturday and Sunday.
Eat and Drink: The three-course Saturday and Sunday lunch not only offers unlimited bubbles, but for the first time, you can also help yourself to unlimited puddings too, all for £45. Saturday lunchtime includes spiced iron bark pumpkin risotto; grilled native lobster; and a jubilee lamb curry amongst other fish and veggie options. And for Sunday, tuck into a traditional Sunday Roast with all the trimmings. On the bottomless dessert front, pile your plate high with Valrhona chocolate mousse topped with crunchy pistachio; Victoria plum Bakewell tart; and Provence fig and blackcurrant trifle – and there’s loads more puds on offer too.

3. For a Live Music Brunch: Joe Allen
What: Joe Allen has launch their piano brunch at the new Burleigh Street restaurant, accompanied by a soundtrack of live show tunes to kick start the weekend. Live music, spicy Bloody Marys and excellent brunch options? Count us in.
Eat and Drink: Starting from 9am on Saturday and Sunday, dishes include: fluffy ricotta pancakes and maple syrup with poached strawberries and mascarpone; classic American waffles topped with blackberry compote, whipped cream and maple syrup; and for something savoury, the breakfast bun with scrambled eggs, smoked slab bacon, smoked sausage and melted cheese, all served in a toasted brioche bun. Alongside freshly brewed Paradiso coffee, sip on brunch cocktails – from the celebratory Champagne Classic and Buck’s Fizz, to the Triple Rum Punch and a reviving Bloody Mary garnished with a stick of celery and a wedge of squeezed lime – there’s plenty of booze to go round.

4. For a Brunch Event: TT Liquor x Bam Boo
What: Bao buns meet cocktails as Shoreditch’s liquor powerhouse TT Liquor are getting set to host a one-off boozy brunch with Asian-fusion experts Bam Boo on Sunday (22nd October). This is the next collaboration in their exciting programme of autumn chef residencies, following Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen.
Eat and Drink: Starting from 1pm until 4pm, brunch will begin with a welcome apertif and avocado on rye with smoked salmon ceviche or crispy sesame-soy tofu. Bam Boo’s brunch special of poached eggs on toasted bao, served with asparagus, grilled prawns, smoked bacon, yuzu hollandaise, spring onion and chilli salt, or with sweet potato sash, shiitake mushrooms for veggies will follow. Dessert comes in the form of matcha crepes with clotted cream ice cream, topped with forest fruit coulis, crushed pistachio, and grated dark chocolate. All courses will be served with a generous helping of booze from TT Liquor’s drink flight. A limited amount of tickets are available, priced at £48 which include a three-course brunch with four paired drinks.

5. For a Bottomless Brunch: Aster
What: Aster situated in Victorias new foodie hub, Nova Victoria, have spiced up their menu and are offering diners a two or three course brunch with a bottomless option for any thirsty guests.
Eat and Drink: Executive chef, Helena Puolakka, originally from the south-west coast of Finland, has created a menu that reflects her Finnish heritage complemented by classic French techniques refined over her career. The menu offers dishes such as cinnamon bun French toast with maple syrup and crispy pancetta; black pudding roll with Aquavit mustard; venison burger served in a juniper brioche bun with lingonberry sauce, alongside some of the more classic brunch dishes like, field mushrooms and poached egg on sourdough with truffle hollandaise and Dorset white crab on sourdough with a citrus mayo. For those who have a sweet tooth and want to turn their brunch into a three-course affair can choose from one of the puddings on offer; coconut panna cotta with basil shortbread and lingonberries; poached peach melba; or the Nordic mess of kefir mousse, berries, meringue and strawberry coulis.
