If you’re hankering for some plant-powered pancakes in the capital, we’ve done the hard work for you. Go forth and eat all the batter:

1.For a Pancake Selection: Christopher’s

The Lowdown: Pancake Day has crêped up again and Christopher’s in Covent Garden have created vegan pancakes for the first time ever – and they’re mega. The pancakes are a multi-coloured born-to-be-healthy trio, featuring beetroot and sunflower seed, rainbow chard and spirulina, and pumpkin, caramelised onion and turmeric, all garnished with pomegranate, bee pollen and coconut yoghurt.

2. For Sweet Pancakes: Osu Coconut

The Lowdown: Osu Coconuts’ batter creations are 100% vegan, gluten and refined sugar free, made with young, fresh coconut water. Sweet stacks include the Berry Mad loaded with berries and signature coconut salted caramel sauce; Cocoa Power with bananas, peanut butter, cocao nibs and signature raw chocolate sauce; and the Apple Crumble with cinnamon apple slices, coconut salted caramel sauce, apple sauce and sprouted walnut crumble.

3. For Posh Pancakes: Essence Cuisine 

The Lowdown: Essence Cuisine in Shoreditch are putting a special pancake on the menu available all day on Tuesday (13th February). The raw coconut pancakes can be customised with a variety of toppings; from coconut cream and berries to raw chocolate and candied walnuts. Delicious, indulgent and vegan friendly.

4. For American-Style Pancakes: The Diner 

The Lowdown: The stacks are high at The Diner, as they’re whipping up American-style pancakes for the big day with all the sauces and toppings. The vegan choc and strawberry pancakes are smothered in chocolate sauce, fresh strawberries, and finished with a scoop of Coconut Choc-ripple ice cream.

5. For a Pancake Partnership: The Breakfast Club x Cupcakes and Shhht 

The Lowdown: The Breakfast club have teamed up with vegan goddesses Cupcakes and Shhht for a special pancake collaboration. The banana and blueberry stack is covered with blueberry maple syrup and cinnamon Oatly cream. Available across all sites from 12th-18th February.
