About Time: You Visited Blackhorse Beer Mile’s Pub GardensBy Angelica Malin
Signature Brew, Wild Card Brewery, Exale and Truman’s Social Club have come together to create Blackhorse Beer Mile (in Walthamstow, East London, 5 mins walk from Blackhorse Rd on the Victoria line) as a new destination for beer lovers wanting to try freshly-pulled pints straight from the source. They will all be open with outdoor seating and food from 12th April (all being well!).
Blackhorse Beer Mile is located in Walthamstow E17 and features some of East London’s most exciting drinking locations. From longstanding local legends Wild Card Brewery; Signature Brew’s state of the art new brewery and music venue; Exale’s modern and experimental beers; to the newest addition to the neighbourhood, Truman’s Social Club featuring the UK’s largest beer hall.
Blackhorse Road has a long and rich history of industry, with factories, mills and workshops taking over much of the area. The last few years have seen an influx of start-ups, cafés, ateliers and, now breweries moving in to the energetic, and fast-changing, corner of East London. A short walk from the Victoria Line and a stroll from the Walthamstow Wetlands, a new nature reserve created around a series of Victorian reservoirs, Blackhorse Beer Mile makes for an ideal spot to stretch your legs, take in some industrial history and quench your thirst with a diverse range of beers from some of the most renowned breweries in the country. Side note: all of the venues are child and dog friendly.
