Let’s face it, we all like something limited-edition, don’t we? Whether it’s the three months of the year you can buy a Creme Egg (more like 8 months now), or just a one-off festive treat, there’s something pretty damn great about a special release, especially when it comes to restaurants. Spring seems to be the time for collaboration in the capital, with a host of our faves adding some unique (and time-sensitive) items to their menus for the season, not to mention some unexpected partnerships. For those lovers of the limited, we’ve rounded up the best collabs of the season. Dig in.

1. For a Reuben Ramen: Bone Daddies x Jay Morjaria

The Lowdown: This month, ramen legends Bone Daddies have teamed up with chef pal Jay Morjaria, founder of Soho’s Mamma Pastrama, to bring you the rather marvellous Reuben Ramen special – on the menu until 30th April at all Bone Daddies ramen bars and delivery via Deliveroo.

Eat: The Reuben Ramen features Bone Daddies’ homemade beef broth, sauerkraut, raclette cheese, Mamma P’s house dressing, dill pickle salsa, sesame spice, rye bread croutons, Mamma P’s pastrami and Bone Daddies recipe marbled rye noodles. Get it while it’s hot.

2. For Pizza: Franco Manca x Francesco Mazzei

The Lowdown: Sourdough pizza pioneers Franco Manca have collaborated with renowned  Italian chef, Francesco Mazzei, to create the latest ‘No.8’ addition that will join its much-loved menu.

Eat: Francesco’s creation is inspired by the colours of the Italian flag and topped with British mozzarella, Colston Bassett stilton, wilted spinach & roasted hazelnuts, dressed with honey and ‘nduja (an ingredient that Francesco is credited with introducing to the UK, from his hometown in Calabria) on Franco Manca’s signature sourdough. The exclusive no.8 is available until the end of June.

3. For a Crustacean Collab: Burger & Lobster x Max’s Sandwich Shop

The Lowdown: Burger & Lobster has been serving up its iconic lobster roll for a decade, and for the first time, the surf and turf specialists have switched things up a gearIn an exciting partnership with sarnie maestro and TV chef Max Halley of Max’s Sandwich Shop, two limited-edition rolls will join the crustacean clan for a limited time only.

Eat: The Lobster Cocktail Roll comes piled high with fresh-picked lobster claw and knuckle meat dressed up to the nines with a retro Marie Rose sauce that’s finished with a dash of Tabasco and brandy. Meanwhile, the Fish & Chip Lobster Roll features juicy chunks of lobster meat bound with tartare sauce and garnished with lime pickled onions, a vibrant pea and mint purée, shredded baby gem lettuce and finely diced gherkins. All topped with crushed salt and vinegar crisps, packed into a toasted roll and accompanied with golden fries.

4. For a Banging Burger: Patty&Bun x Murkage Dave

The Lowdown: Patty&Bun has launched a brand new burger, teaming up with East London born singer-songwriter Murkage Dave for the beef-based wonder.

Eat: The Murkage Burger features a beef patty topped with roast chicken mayo, bacon, onion relish, American cheese, shredded iceberg lettuce, and burger sauce, all crammed inside a bun. With a vegan alternative available, you can also order the  Murkage Dip of chicken and onion gravy for an extra quid.

5. For a Pub-Inspired Pizza: Yard Sale Pizza x Gipsy Hill

The Lowdown: This April is all about the pub at Yard Sale Pizza! The much-loved independent pizza joint is celebrating the cornerstone of British culture with its latest special pizza and a beer brewed in partnership with Gipsy Hill Brewery.

Eat: The Two Pints of Lager and a Packet Of… pizza is topped with Lincolnshire Poacher, courtesy of The Cheese Bar, onions braised in Gipsy Hill’s beer and Yard Sale Pizza’s very own slow-cooked tomato sauce and fior di latte mozzarella. The pizza is then be finished with your choice of powdered pub snack: pickled onion Monster Munch, Scampi Fries or pork scratchings, to sprinkle onto your pizza when it arrives. To pair with the pub pizza, Yard Sale has worked with South London brewery Gipsy Hill to brew their first collaboration beer – Sliceworld. Sliceworld is the perfect pizza partner; a cold IPA that offers the crispness of a lager.
