We LOVE a collab here at About Time, and anything limited edition that draws more attention to our favourite restaurants or brands is all good in our books. This summer is already stacked with amazing collaborations, and luckily for you we’ve rounded up the best. Dig in:

1. For a Deep-Fried Dessert: Ria’s x Tennents

What: Say hello to the Tennent’s Beer-Battered Deep-Fried Mars Bar – a new collab with Ria‘s, the all-day deep-dish pizza
and natural wine bar in Notting Hill, and Scotland’s finest brew, Tennents.

Eat: Paying homage to co-founder Ria Morgan’s Scottish heritage, this indulgent dessert features a classic Mars Bar, dunked in a crispy, golden Tennents beer batter. The result is a crispy, golden exterior encasing a gooey, melted chocolate and caramel centre, complemented by a generous serving of soft serve.

2. For a Picnic Experience: Great Scotland Yard Hotel x Veuve Clicquot

What: Great Scotland Yard Hotel has partnered with Veuve Clicquot, taking the great British tradition of picnicking to a new level. The Veuve Clicquot picnic, for enjoyment in The Royal London Park of St James’s (just a five-minute walk from the hotel), is available for hotel guests and non-residents.

Eat: Available to order for the month of August, nourishment is supplied by Great Scotland Yard Hotel’s kitchen, who have prepared a ‘lunch-to-go’ packed in a beautiful wicker hamper for the ultimate feast in the park. Among the items available include Chicken Coronation Sandwich and Cheesecake Mousse & Macerated Strawberries – alongside a refreshing chilled full-sized bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne.

3. For a Pop-Up: Proper Slice BYGB x EVE

What: Proper Slice BYGB, a cult pizza joint from New York via Singapore, has landed at EVE, Ember Locke’s restaurant for a one-month residency. 

Eat: Running until 2nd September, this spot is all about celebrating New York’s old-school pizzerias, with pizza pies available as quick grab-and-go or as full pies for a relaxed dine-in experience. Expect a handful of standout pizzas on the menu, all made fresh with dough that’s been fermented for 48 hours: New York (Spicy vodka tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, stracciatella and basil); Mafioso (Spicy meatballs marinara, mozzarella, chillies and red onion); and  Giardiniera (Mozzarella, peppers, artichokes, olives, jalapeños, onions).

3. For a Summer Slushy Series: Pastaio x La Punta Expendio de Agave

What: Pastaio’s popular slushy series has now returned for its fourth year, this time bringing the spirit of aperitivo to London with four creations in collaboration with some of Rome’s most innovative and exciting bars: Jerry Thomas Bar Room, Freni e Frizioni, La Punta Expendio de Agave and Smile Bar.

Eat: From 1st – 31st August, you can get your mitts on the Guava Margarita Slushy from one of Italy’s best-stocked tequila and mezcal bars. La Punta’s owners spent a decade in Mexico honing their craft and will bring their agave expertise to Pastaio with a sweet yet vibrant Margarita-inspired serve.

4. For a Tacos & Tequila : Temper x Cazcabel

What: From Monday 12th to Friday 16th August customers who order a portion of tacos will receive a temper scratch card with their meal which will include prizes like free taco platters, 25% of your bill plus temper vouchers, the chance to win a year’s worth of tacos and margaritas, and even a private party for 20 guests at a location of your choice, provided by temper’s new events business: temper to You.

Eat:The platters include six types of taco: two old favourites; the goats cheese and burnt ends, two current menu staples; the cheeseburger and pork belly bites, and two new creations; the whitebait and chicken tings. They can be ordered as platters of six or 12, plus you can add shots of Cazcabel tequila to the platters to give your evening an extra boost.

5. For a Limited-Edition Pizza: Fatto a Mano x Trealy Farm

What:  You have until 19th August to grab Fatto a Mano’s new ‘za in collaboration with Trealy Farm. The special Merguez Salami pizza, topped with spicy lamb and beef sausage from collaborators Trealy Farm – is available across Fatto’s five pizzerias in London and Brighton.

Eat: The Fatto x Trealy Farm pizza celebrates the British meat specialists and showcases its spicy salami, (flavoured with lemon, cumin and coriander) on a roasted aubergine base, which tops Fatto a Mano’s light and fluffy dough alongside ricotta and mozzarella from Neapolitan cheese suppliers, Lattai Ponticorvo; aubergine and artichoke pieces, and crispy capers.
