Eat This: Crosstown’s Halloween BitesBy Alicia Grimshaw
Forget your toffee apples and spiders iced onto cookies this Halloween as Crosstown are taking it up a notch with its limited-edition Halloween dough bites. It can’t just be us that think foods taste better in miniature form, right?
As with all Crosstown’s doughy wares, these sweet beauties feature homemade compotes, glazes… and especially for Halloween – the return of their black cocoa sourdough.
100% plant-based and 100% delicious, the Halloween dough bites are crafted with Crosstown’s spooky black cocoa dough, filled with a punchy homemade raspberry jam, and topped with an equally delicious dark berry glaze. And to get into the spooky spirit, the mini bites are finished with a super cute bat or a pumpkin decoration.
If you’re tempted to trade in your vampire-shaped gingerbreads in favour of these dough bites, Crosstown are offering a number of options including – Halloween Box (15 Halloween dough bites + the option of adding speciality drinks), and Halloween Trick or Treat Box (15 Halloween dough bites + eighteen or thirty-six 35g cookies + the option of adding speciality drinks).
Speciality drink options include Craft Beers by Mondo Brewing Company and Forest Road Brewery Co, St. JOHN Wines, Gusbourne English Sparkling Rosé, Crosstown x Caravan Espresso and more
The Halloween dough bites will also be available in Crosstown stores and for on-demand delivery across London and Cambridge, individually (£2.70) as well as in boxes of three (£8) between 28 and 31 October. Order online here.
