Readers, prepare for the hottest collaboration of the summer. London’s first Southern Thai restaurant Plaza Khao Gaeng and London’s well-loved chicken spot Coqfighter, have joined forces to create the Khua Kling Burger.

This limited-edition poultry wonder is packed with bold flavours and is available across all Coqfighter sites and on Deliveroo until Tuesday 3rd September. Get your skates on, people.

The Khua Kling Burger (£12.50) comprises deep-fried chicken hot-dipped in Hat Yai seasoning, topped with a very special ‘Khua Kling’ cheese whiz. This ‘whiz’ comprises a cheese sauce spiked with minced, wok-fried chicken infused with Southern Thai Spices: Phatthalung curry paste – thick with chilli, long pepper, and turmeric – lemongrass, galangal and green peppercorns. Savoury and complex, the whole thing is cut with Miang sauce, shredded cabbage, Thai herb and lime slaw, and served in a perfectly toasted sesame bun.

In case you’re not familiar with Coqfighter, three friends – Troy, Tristan, and Deacon – founded the brand in 2015.  Inspired by the unique style of Korean fried chicken they’d enjoyed on many hot summer nights in Melbourne, their unique East meets West take on fried chicken has grown cult status in London. Coqfighter collaborate with brands that excite them, every month, all year long, creating one-off items that excite and delight.
