Fancy getting into the festive spirit? Well, we think it’s about time you got down to the Old Spitalfields First Thursdays Christmas night market. The night market, taking place on Thursday 3rd December from 5-9, is going to be a veritable feast of the best food and drink, as well as fun performances. Here’s what you need to know:
Old Spitalfields Christmas Night Market: What
They will be officially be switching on the Old Spitalfields Christmas lights on the 3rd December. The Antiques and Vintage Market will be staying open for late night Christmas shopping, and there will be live music and performances throughout the evening. Alongside all this, their retailers and restaurants also all get involved with a host of different events, and with some super exciting new openings from McQ, Rapha, Belstaff and Cutler and Gross, it’s going to be a cracking way to do your Christmas shopping. You can navigate your way through tons of free drinks, street food, live music and in store treats, here are just a few things going on:
Ethos: On the night, there will be the launch of the winter terrace at Ethos, a new fitness and yoga studio, ahead of their official opening in January. Expect a specially curated canape bar and their take on balanced drinking with some medicinal mixology. It’s also going to be home to all the live xmas performances for the evening.
Monkey Shoulder Pop-Up: The mischievous lot from Monkey Shoulder are bring their wintery whisky cocktails to Spitalfields for Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th December.
Dr Martens: There will be a live gig in store with free drinks and a hefty discount on your favourite 8-holes (and everything else).
Blixen: Get that xmas feeling with toasty drinks in the Blixen Yard, or nip inside for a minute to see the first installation in their Vacant Cabinets exhibition – a series of visiting artists reimagining empty cases in the toilets.
Mercantile: There will be a special event where you can meet the makers and designers of some of the brands and get one to one styling, discounts and goodie bags.
Collectif: Expect free vintage hairstyles from Collectif’s team done up in their finest festive glamour.
The Dandy Lab: There’s complimentary drinks from Harry Brompton and 10% off all items in store. Plus a chance to win prizes!
The Diner: 20% off food for the evening.
The Real Greek: 25% off food from 5pm until close for everyone who mentions “Market Meze Thursday”.
