Summer Love, the free open-air film festival, is back! Celebrate the arrival of summer with free outdoor screenings of your favourite films and catch all the tennis action, in an idyllic setting overlooking Regent’s Canal. Here’s the lowdown on Everyman Summer Love in Kings Cross:
Everyman Summer Love: The Lowdown
From Friday 21 June to Friday 14 July, Everyman presents: Summer Love returns for a second year, bringing blockbuster bangers, family favourites and cult classics to the big screen at King’s Cross; there’ll also be a special LGBTQ+ programme during Pride, Wimbledon screenings and live Royal Opera House screenings.
Everyman Summer Love: What’s On
So what’s on offer? Highlights include Romeo + Juliet, Stand by Me, Before Sunrise, Pride, Manhattan, The Karate Kid (1984), Fantastic Mr Fox and Independence Day. Royal Opera House screenings include Carmen (2 July) and Marriage of Figaro (9 July). The big screen will also be put to use showing all the live Wimbledon action; you can catch all the drama from first serve to final match right here, with the big screen showing all the main BBC coverage.
Everyman Summer Love: Food + Drink
It wouldn’t be a true cinema experience without SNACKS – Prosecco, cold beers and soft drinks will be on offer from the Summer Love bar. There are also plenty of new restaurants and bars to try in Coal Drops Yard. Choose from an aperitivo in Vermuteria, small bites in Hicce, grills on the outdoor terrace at Parrillan or deli sandwiches from Bodega Ritas. Meanwhile KERB will be on hand during weekday lunchtimes (Wed- Fri) with their talented street food traders offering up plates of deliciousness. Picnic, anyone?
