Looking for an excuse to indulge in some great food and drink this month? We’ve got you covered. Whether you’re perfecting your knife skills at a butchery masterclass, sitting down to inventive collaboration dinners, or soaking up the flavours at a Fiestas de La Mercè celebration, these seven events will make sure your calendar (and your appetite) is full.
1. For a Four-Hands Dinner: Tommy Myllymäki x Tom Phillips
What: The chefs – Tommy Myllymäki and Tom Phillips – at the helm of two Michelin-starred restaurants AIRA in Stockholm and Restaurant Story will come together at Restaurant Story, Tom Seller’s London restaurant, for two exclusive four-hand dinners on the 10th and 11th September.
The Event: Tommy and Tom have conceived the menu for the AIRA x Restaurant Story dinner together, commencing with a Welcome Broth, followed by courses of Dill croustade, langoustine, browned butter and lemon; Squid with oyster emulsion, sorrel and caviar; English sweetcorn custard and warm black truffle cornbread; and Scallop quenelle with poached king crab, fermented tomato and marigold. As is customary at Restaurant Story, the tasting menu always includes a pasta course as a tribute to Tom Sellers’ time at Per Se. For this dinner, the pasta dish will be Pumpkin agnolotti, pickled trumpet mushrooms and brown butter.

2. For a Butchery Masterclass: From the Ashes x Five Points
What: September will see Five Points Brewing Company launch a series of masterclasses in collaboration with the renowned BBQ experts, Martin Anderson and Curtis Bell, of From the Ashes.
The Event: On September 12th, From the Ashes will hold a masterclass on pork where participants will learn about different pork cuts and sausage making, using an Oxford Sandy and Black, a rare traditional breed of pig from Oxfordshire. Following the masterclass, expect a feast in celebration of Oktoberfest, with smoked sausages and smoked lagers.

3. For a Bar Takeover: KOL Mezcaleria x Line Bar
What: On September 14th, from 5pm to 10:30pm, KOL Mezcaleria will open its doors to Line Bar for a bespoke bar takeover and collaboration focused on Mexican spirit and foraged flavours.
The Event: Line Bar draws inspiration from fermentation, sustainability, and local Greek producers, creating unique hybrid fermented products and reimagined bar food with a focus on zero-waste. The two bar teams lead by Vasillis Kyritsis of Line and Irene Diaz of KOL Mezcaleria will immerse themselves in the British wilderness to forage for flavours, ingredients and inspiration to base a new collaborative and custom menu for all to try on September 14th.
A new cocktail menu combining each bar’s style will be available, all made with The Lost Explorer spirits. Along with a selection of iconic bar snacks such as KOL Mezcaleria’s Beef Short Rib Empanada and Totopos with pistachio guacamole.

4. For a Harvest Festival: Toklas Bakery
What: On Saturday 21st September, Toklas Bakery will host its inaugural Harvest Festival, with an all-day market from some of the UK’s finest seasonal producers alongside a ticketed workshop, and brand new bakes from Head Bakery Janine Edwards and team.
The Event: Celebrating the return of autumn, the market will run from 10am until 3pm. Throughout the day, visitors will find delights from Pyscis Conserves, who specialise in ‘vintage’ and heritage tinned fish; small-batch boxed wines from Bobo Wines; jarred beans and legumes from Bold Bean Co; Harvest flavour specials from The Social Drinking Company and contemporary, ethically-sourced Indian snacks from Biskut Bar.
At 11am and 2pm respectively, fermentation educator Jeanne Kessira will host two ticketed workshops. The one-hour-long lactic fermentation course will run through the fundamentals of this ancient, nourishing practice, alongside the health benefits and advantages of at-home ferments. Each guest will make and take home sauerkraut made during the session, with tickets available for £30 via the Toklas website.

5. For a Fiestas de La Mercè Celebration: The Campaner
What: The Campaner will celebrate the Fiestas de La Mercè on Sunday 22nd September, bringing the spirit of Barcelona to the heart of London. This vibrant event, the largest in Barcelona, showcases Catalan culture through music, dance, theatre, parades, and fireworks.
The Event: Filled with music, dance, and cultural performances, The Campaner invites Londoners to experience its version of this historic festival with a full day of activities and traditional Catalan flare taking place between 9am – 8pm, including: 2-for-1 Vermouth throughout the day for £7, live performances by the Los Amigos Band (from 12pm), The Campaner’s infamous huge fragrant paella, available until it’s gone, and a free face painting workshop for children from 10am.

6. For a Vegan Collab: Tendril x No Meat Disco
What: To celebrate one whole year since plant-first chef Rishim Sachdeva opened the doors to his much-loved Tendril restaurant, he is teaming up with plant-first influencer of the moment, Sam Jones AKA ‘NOMEATDISCO’ for a two-day collab extravaganza at Tendril
The Event: First up – Rishim and Sam will collaborate on a special one-night-only ‘NO MEAT DISCO’ dinner menu at Tendril on Friday 20th September, offering seven courses of plant-based deliciousness. On the evening of Saturday 21st September, Tendril will transform into a plant-based party hotspot, with Rishim & Sam offering a veritable plant-first-feast for the eyes and Sam curating a super-cool playlist to get the party started

7. For a Rock and Oyster Evening: The Laundry x Wright Brothers x Nyetimber
What: On Wednesday 25th September, The Laundry in Brixton will kickstart the British oyster season with renowned seafood suppliers Wright Brothers, hosting a one-off Rock & Oyster evening filled with rock oysters, music and English sparkling from one of UK’s most prolific producers, Nyetimber.
The Event: The Wright Brothers will take to The Laundry’s al fresco terrace from 6pm-8pm with an Oyster Bar, inviting guests to enjoy a selection of freshly shucked Cumbrae, Achill and La ‘M’ rock oysters served au naturale (with lime mignonette: £3) and cooked (Kilpatrick: £4); oysters will be served until sold out. The acclaimed English sparkling wine, Nyetimber, will flow throughout the evening, perfectly paired to compliment the Wright Brothers’s shore-to-door oysters.
