Do you feel at your ‘Peak’?

I didn’t. I felt cold very cold to my bones.

I got the call. My friend was going to Siberia, -47 degrees celsius and he was craving warmth he could store up before he went. A sauna, a steam, a delightful paddle in a heated swimming pool. That feeling of an afternoon staycation.

Peak Health Club to the rescue. An oasis of calm and tranquility on the 9th floor of the Jumeriah Carlton Tower. Even the walk from the tube feels like the escape has begun. An amble along Sloane Street and the most decadent shopping windows in London with the hum of Ferraris and Astons kicked off our afternoon of relaxing off in style.

We swam in the 20m stainless swimming pool, stayed too long in the toasty sauna and steamed the January cobwebs off in the steam room. But the highlight was the biggest jacuzzi this About Time writer had ever seen.
